Episode 105: The hardware and design processes that drive the video game industry.

This week our friend Sam "RetroReject" Hayes fills in for Dustin who is again off galivanting around the Forgotten Realms.  We discuss the hardware that has powered the video game industry, from the Golden Age of Arcades, through the Video Game Crash of 1983, the Console Wars, the transition to CD-ROM format, and other pivotal moments in video game history.  Note: We're sorry about the mic doubling that starts popping up 30ish minutes in... Definitely going to troubleshoot that this week.

Episode 104: We explore the D-20 Roleplaying genre.

On this episode we are exploring the wide range of D20 system video games, beginning with their origins in tabletop gaming and traveling through time from D&D 2E, to ASCII, to Fallout, to BG3.  Sorry about the mic doubling... we had a little technological setback this week, but we'll be back to that sweet sweet Bayou Retreats studio sound next week.

Episode 102: Digging deeper into the OG Console War, Overwatch, and Helldivers.

On the second episode of our new podcast, we apply what we learned to make the quality a little better, and we dig a little deeper into the topics we touched on last week.  Primarily our 90s gaming heritage and our recollections of the original "console war" era, the potential of Scion Esports revisiting Overwatch, and the ongoing battle for managed democracy!  We also do some more trivia and spoiler alert: Dustin and Eric both do a little better.

Episode 101: Testing everything and doing fly-bys on all our topics.

The debut of our new podcast!  We work out all the bugs, introduce ourselves, and briefly hit all the topics we plan to discuss in the podcast.  We don't dig deep into anything, this episode is more of a 30,000 foot view of all our interests, and we'll dig deeper in future episodes into the topics ya'll want us to focus on.  Also it seems like we need to make the trivia questions easier!
